Expressing Yourself at Your Wedding

Jessica Biel & Justin Timberlake
When someone like Jessica Biel dons a non-white wedding dress, we have to think about the possibilities before us to express ourselves at our wedding.  Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel recently exchanged vows in Italy while Jessica wore a pink silk Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown. The tradition of the white wedding dress began after Queen Victoria chose to wear a white lace gown when marrying Prince Albert in 1840 quickly spreading to most European and western countries.  In the US, white was not always the traditional color worn by brides.  During the Revolutionary War, some brides wore red to symbolize independence, some wore purple symbolize. Many regions of the world still stand true to their customs and traditions.  How about you?  Do you enjoy the comforts of tradition?  Or are you the bride that likes to express herself and choose something unexpected for your wedding?
