What do you love most about a wedding day?
Josh: I love the action – there is never a dull moment during a wedding. I thrive in that environment, and love the challenge of capturing the day in a compelling and creative way. My mind is always moving – trying to combine my technical knowledge with what is in front of me to create the best picture possible. I also love being married and therefore love being a part of the most important day of our couples’ lives.
Kathy: I love the emotion. There is always such anticipation leading up to a wedding, and I love to see it come together. Whether it be the joy on Grandma’s face during the vows, or the couple seeing each other for the first time, it is always beautiful and I’m honored to capture it.
As wedding photographers, what is the most unique thing you provide to brides and grooms?
Our teamwork. We photograph every wedding together, plus we are married ourselves, so we have quite a system down and are really in tune with the other person as we move through the day. That is invaluable on a wedding day when you need to have a certain level of communication and trust!
If your business was an ice cream flavor, what would it be and why?
Coffee flavored because we are high octane and are always looking for the most striking, dynamic pictures.
