Branding your wedding boils down to paying attention to the details! If you wish to brand your wedding, let your love story shine through the details and personal touches. Identifying a brand for the two of you is a perfect way to plan your wedding with an outcome that is going to be personal, memorable, and all about you!

For some couple, their brand may be celebrating family traditions and cultures. For others, it may be the love of Disneyland, favorite NFL football team, or favorite movie(s). The possibilities are endless! Think common interests, hobbies, family, alumni, and wherever your creativity takes you!

Steps to branding your wedding:

Step OneLooks & Mood: Determine what you want your wedding to look like. When you close your eyes and picture your big day, what do you see? What styles are you attracted to (Vintage, Modern, Rustic, Romantic, Industrial, Bohemian)? If you are on Pinterest, what looks catch your eye? Consider what time of year you are getting married and the seasons. Envision the wedding dress you see yourself wearing. Are you dreaming of a formal affair or a bit more casual?  Write down the key words that translate your vision for your special day!

Step TwoColors, Patterns, & Textures: Now that you have an idea of what you want your day to look like and you have key words that describe your vision, it’s time to think color palette! Once again, get out that Pinterest board! If you are drawn to wood elements and other organic textures you can take it vintage-glam, a rustic look, or even a bohemian look. Bold colors and chevron or geometric patterns are vibrant and playful. Remember to be you and have fun!

Step Three Logo & Motifs: Your save-the-dates and wedding invitations are the first thing your guests see so it’s important to take some time considering the overall design and look of your invitations.  Your brand should speak through your save-the-dates, invitations, wedding programs, and menus (all printables & signs).

Step Four~ Fonts: The fonts that you choose for your invitations and other wedding printables are equally as important when branding your wedding. Pick them early, use them consistently on everything (signs, menu’s etc) to create a cohesive brand, and don’t change your mind a month before your wedding!

Step Five ~ Details: Work closely with your vendors to help you bring your brand to life! Show them your inspiration boards, your fonts, your save-the-dates and invitations and go from there. The more detailed you are, the more your vendors will be able to suggest details to complement your overall brand!

Other details to consider that create your brand include but are not limited to: catering, signature drinks, desserts (incorporate your favorites), music, lighting, etc.
